Devlin DeFrancesco enters the month of May after a solid finish today at the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsport Park.

Starting 20th, DeFrancesco and the Andretti Steinbrenner Autosport squad used a two-step strategy to cross the line in 17th position – the second-highest finishing rookie.

“Genuinely happy with the No. 29 Andretti Steinbrenner PowerTap Honda. Qualifying was disappointing yesterday, but we moved forward to the race,” DeFrancesco said.

“One little mistake I’d say we made; just a shame to have that restart on blacks, but we had great pace, great fuel mileage and definitely finished higher than where we started.

“We know we left some on the table, so hugely happy to get an alright finish here and looking forward to the month of May.ā€

DeFrancesco’s next race is the GMR Grand Prix of Indianapolis on May 14.
