“Our championship starts from here”

After a 5 week long break, the FIA Formula 3 Championship heads to Circuit Paul Ricard this weekend with 19 year old, Devlin DeFrancesco excited to continue on progress made during the opening round.

Just outside the town of Le Castellet in the French Riveria, Paul Ricard offers up a competitive stage consisting of consisting of 15 corners over 3.64 miles. One of the most recognisable on the calendar, its black asphalt weaves itself throughout a sea of blue and red ribbons making up the other 166 available track configurations. Placing 5th on his track debut in 2017 (EuroFormula Open), the young Canadian-Italian is excited to return.

After a tough opening round, Devlin and the team have been working tirelessly to fine tune their performance and eager to put it all into practice on track, starting with Free practice early Friday morning.

Looking forward to the weekend Devlin commented: “I’m really excited for the French Grand Prix, a lot has changed going in, we’ve all worked really hard and I’m sure our efforts will be rewarded”

“The team have done a lot of work with the car from Barcelona, looks like we’ve got to the bottom of a few niggles and and I’m excited to get going and see where we stack up. Barcelona was a really tough round but we kept our heads down, we kept motivated – our championship starts from here.”

Track action begins 09:30 local on Friday.
