NTT INDYCAR SERIES rookie Devlin DeFrancesco bounced back today after a disappointing qualifying to gain ten positions in today’s Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 at Iowa Speedway.
After starting 25th, DeFrancesco completed four stops and drove a strong race to move through to the pack to take 15th place after 300 laps.
“Race Two done in Iowa. We gained 10 spots from our starting position. It was a decent race for us,” DeFrancesco said.
“We changed the setup to follow what the No. 28 did today and it was a good step in the right direction.
“Good, strong finish for us today after the messy qualifying that we had. Happy to have capitalized on that and looking forward to going to Indy for the road course.”
Next up for DeFrancesco and the Andretti Steinbrenner Autosport squad is a return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course next weekend.
